Biography: Dr. Lan Li is an Associate Professor of Classroom Technology at Bowling Green State University (BGSU), USA and holds a Ph.D. in Educational Studies from University of Nebraska - Lincoln, USA. Her research interests include technology-facilitated teaching and learning, technology preparation in teacher education, and e-learning. Dr. Li is enthusiastic about integrating her teaching and research interests with service opportunities that serve the educational needs of surrounding and global communities. She has led or participated in various research and grant projects. Dr. Li has presented her research in prestigious international conferences and published in various prominent journals such as British Journal of Educational Technology and Assessment and evaluation in Higher Education.
Topic: Emerging Technologies and Their Impact on Education
Abstract: The rapid development of technology has profoundly changed the way we live, and the way we teach and learn. This presentation will first introduce how newer technologies such as 3D printing, Virtual Reality, and Augmented Reality have been employed in education to facilitate teaching and foster learning in the United States. The session will then showcase how Augmented Reality was integrated in an educational training model and how this intervention impacted students’ project performance and their attitudes towards training.
